She was on O'Brien's LBC show a day or so ago, and it was stomach-churningly awful -- he treated her reverentially and everything she said as gospel, without ANY comeback or even the mildest dissent. And like Bastani he kept slavering on about the Pulitzer Prize, like a little kid with its gob hanging open. It was nauseating. I didn't stay the whole course so I don't know if he received any adverse comments fro listeners.

O'Brien always strikes me as being obsessed with his own status, so besotted with being on the radio talking to "personalities" that he's almost hugging himself with incredulous gratitude. "Here's little me, being chummy with these internationally known people, and we're getting on like a house on fire! I'm moving in their elevated circles and they like me! Can't wait to have a wank afterwards."
