Wow, didn't know that, only that Britain had sent advisers and military personnel to aid the Americans during their assault, drawing from their counter-insurgency atrocities in Malaya. Remarkable how all the imperial powers knew that it was apparently hugely important to crush this independence movement, even taking it in turns to do so. I don't understand how modern Vietnamese can see a westerner in their country and not spit on them...
