After I posted my rant, I considered how the 'whiteys' would handle that. In other words, if Lammy was white when he said that. It seems likely I would be less pissed off, since I would consider their ('whitey') reaction (for example ref Risskies being on African continent) just ignorant and propaganda. Higher standards and identity politics at play .. although, to be sure, Lammy brought it up as a good 'boy'. Own goal to my mind.
