Just going off overall impressions, the audience responded positively to an impassioned woman who spoke about the murderous slaughter in Gaza and why weren't politicians DOING something? This is just going off the volume of sustained applause after she spoke. The panellists were worse than useless, mouthing the usual empty platitudes calling for a "prolonged ceasefire" and "diplomatic solutions" and all the usual tripe. One of them even called for "restraint on both sides". Did he mean the Palestinian children and their parents should restrain themselves from dying so rapidly in such numbers and so often when a bomb is dropped on them? What other kind of "restraint" could they practise? Restraint at breathing? Restraint at having their limbs blown off? |
