I've been feeling sad this week because someone I worked with in Manchester, the broadcaster Brian Trueman, has died at the age of 92.
Brian worked for the BBC and also Granada TV (where I knew him) since the mid-1950s. He was one of the most decent, generous and helpful people you could ever hope to meet, inside television or outside. He wrote the Dangermouse animation series and voiced some of the characters. It was a pleasure and a privilege to have known him.
