If only you would stop [arbitrarily forbidden behaviours XYZ] I wouldn't have to pursue this regrettable course of action." etc etc. I wondered if the quote made it into the Helen Mirren film they put out a few years back. Doubt it somehow because of what a maniac it reveals her to be.

Funny, this quote sprang to my mind too after watching Netenyahu's speech to Lebanese citizens blaming Hezbollah for what the IOF was about to do to them, just like he did with Hamas. Blame the victim, wash your hands of responsibility, pretend to be the reluctant aggrieved party instead of the rampant psychopathic aggressor. They're all at it, all of the time.
