None of this is good, but Iran now providing the casus beli Israel wanted is irrelevant because if they don't strike back at this point it's clear provocations will simply continue until they do.

Well the mark is made now. Of course Iran which is the real target of all this madness would have clearly prefered to wait until it's Comprehensive Agreement" on military cooperation was finalised with Russia...but that is of course likely why the Israelis / US want to move now rather than later.
I hope the Russians have been discreetly supplying Iran with all the air defence measures they can anywise: I suspect they will be sorely needed.
