A number of people have contacted me about Howard Jacobson's appalling article in Sunday's Observer in which he links the ancient anti-Semitic blood libel against Jews with Israel's slaughter of Palestinian children.

Although Jacobson probably doesn't realise it, what he is suggesting is that there may have been some truth to the blood libel.

I have drafted a letter to the Observer. Given the political direction and support for genocide of the Guardian/Observer it is unlikely to be printed. However we can submit it to the Morning Star/left press if that is the case.

Either way we should let the Observer know what we think of their crude attempt to use Jacobson to suggest that even mentioning the mass murder of Palestinian children is anti-Semitic.
