I have few kindred spirits here but one or two be curious to see a map showing areas of the 4 oblasts yet to be taken. I imagine Putin will advance slowly, trading off speed for Russian casualties. When the borders are reached he might stand still and simply allow Ukrainian youths to be hurled into meatgrinder. American voters are already unwilling to pay for this and will certainly be unwiling to replace dead Ukrainians with live Amricans' boots on the ground. Putins readiness to negotiate will be shaped by his battlefield advances on this map. His minimum demands will be a cast-iron guarantee of Nato neutratity, recognition of Crimea plus a demilitarised eastern Ukraine.
