Just reading through this article and it seems very much like they are tailoring everything to address the various problems with their narrative (or at least to try to address them).

This is also the first time, to my knowledge, that the CCTV of the Skripals in the park has been shown (with Sergie handing the bread to the child who fed ducks with it without any cross-contamination from the Novichok supposedly on his hands).

Seems to me they are using this as a firming-up exercise.
