Where is the offence? It's a water-melon. It shows support for the Palestinian flag and its murdered tens of thousands.
The true offence here is that the BBC cannot distinguish between a moral principle and a geopolitical convenience. That the show is called "Big Brother" is peculiarly apt. Perhaps the BBC should be renamed the Big Brother Corporation.
If the lady said she didn't realise what the emblem meant, first, I don't believe her, and second it might have been a chance for her faint moral stance, now extinguished, to have been more vocally supported and the BBC better challenged. Another loss - a bit like those Labour MPs and the letter about NATO all retracting their stance. I hesitate to call the lady's response moral cowardice, I don't know her, but in regard to the Labour MPs it certainly was, and 500,000 dead Ukrainians later the moral cowardice merely worsens.
