-thats a seriously good point: most especially with Starmers lining up land-grabbing Blackrock as his new best buddies.
Another thing I was thinking about was just how much of the inheritable allowance is made up of farm property. Dont know what the proposed rules are exactly but the farm here has half a dozen cottages & three farmhouses quite aside from the barns, dairy and ancillary buildings. The value of this domestic property alone must be a several million but of course it's not rented but "tied" accomodation for farm workers and their families.
Without even so much as a working inch of land or farm building being included this takes it well over the inheritance threshold but is I reckon unalienable from the actual practical running of the farm.
-I have a feeling none of the Labour proposals have been thought through in any way whatsoever by anyone with more than an accountancy grasp of farming.
