That may be true, John, but isn't there huge questions about his financial corruption involving China and the Ukraine?
Not sure of the details but I do know he was under investigation for millions of dollars received from these two countries for dodgy dealings.
A lot more to those proceedings than I say here and of course, he was never formally charged with anything but his crimes might be just a bit less "banal" than using drugs and some shenanigans about gun ownership forms.
Of course, as you rightly say, if anyone was up for a pardon, Genocide Joe would be head of the line...doubt that would help him in the afterlife though, if there is one...deserves a bit of that "eternal damnation", you mention!
