I agree. It's really disheartening to see these lunatics (and the lunatics behind them) "winning" but Assad wasn't Gandhi and it's sometimes easy to lose sight of the real nature of their rule.

As a general point, I always wonder how people seem to accept what commentators like Berletic say without really asking what his sources are and how does he get them having very little connection to the usual back channels. I think sometimes, and I'm as guilty of it as the next, it's just hearing what you would like to be true.

It's also nauseating to watch the corporate whores spin this as some great triumph of peace and democracy. The world is upside down.
