I get angrier and angrier at how they've let this happen and/or participated in the worst crime of the 21st centrury, so far... Then they have hand-wringing op-eds about why populist demagogues are winning votes. Well maybe because the entire edifice of rules based order and international law that you've spent decades smashing us over the head with was revealed to be just a pile of empty words and people see that you do not give a single solitary flying fuck about them.

It feels like all we can do is keep calling them out and never let any of them forget what they've done. Mind you, massively unlikely as it is, if I ever see Blinken, Miller, Sullivan, Patel or any of the other massive rogues gallery I'm going to be doing time. I'd actually like them all to be hounded everywhere they go and prevented from having a normal life. Ideally they'd be tried as war criminals and put away for 40 years or strung up (even though I oppose the death penalty, it's very very hard to do so in this hypothetical).

There are moments when you suddenly zoom out and look at what's happened and think, just how has this been allowed? What is going on? And that's just us, relatively safe and secure, observing. Trying to imagine living that hell is impossible.
