Brand sinking lower with his "I'm a Christian: that means I have a newfound understanding of the sacred need for Jews to have a homeland in Palestine" bilge, plus several ppl I've not heard of but indicating a general trend of deliberately avoiding Trump's history, statements & actions wrt Israhell in order to make ridiculous "4D chess" type arguments. Sometimes people are just as thick, deluded and evil as they sound they are, and there's nothing more to it.
I watched Brand's whole segment, which was pretty painful. Framing everything as both-sides, and the fact he's even bringing up zionist quasi-religious justifications at this point is evidence that he has lost his moral compass and shilling for the conquerors. But he does it in such a cowardly way, introducing it as a debate with 'intelligent people on both sides' (roughly direct quote) going back and forth for a long time etc etc. and then copping out by endlessly asking his viewers to discuss it in the comments section. Fwiw my comment would be the Tutu quote about how being neutral in the face of injustice is to choose the side of the oppressor. To his credit (I grudgingly suppose) he is at least introducing his audience to the opinions of genuinely knowledgeable leftists like M.Blumenthal, Arnaud Bertrand etc. Still, not good enough IMO:
