Well I post it as admonition. The Burkean notion expressed in various forms:

"If you’re not a socialist before you’re twenty-five, you have no heart; if you are a socialist after twenty-five, you have no head."

...really concerns growing cynicism through experience: not something I missed out on, but I'm afraid the process to individual "liberty" never quite won me over.
