If you didn't know any better, you'd think that Baldwin's words were innocuous. I think you do know better than that.


I'm very sorry, M, but I don't know any better. The totality of my knowledge about Baldwin is that he shot and killed someone on a film set by firing a live round instead of a dummy. I don't have a clue about his views on Israel, Gaza, genocide or anything else. I don't read celebrity stuff at all so I'm ignorant about the views of such people.

As to the New York demo, I didn't endorse or take "seriously" Baldwin's comment -- it was the only thing I could actually hear! Which is why I quoted it. The rest of the soundtrack was just an incoherent babble. The crowd might have been pro-Israel and anti-Gaza, I couldn't tell what the protest was about.

And my original response -- "Why is this here?" was genuine bafflement about Baldwin snapping at his wife as worthy of being posted. I didn't see the link at the bottom till later. Not knowing anything about what Baldwin had said in the past meant I had no context for the post. Didn't mean to offend or upset anyone.
