I knew it would not be mentioned and neither could the Wealth Tax on Yesterdays JV because Owen Jones was on the show; he might give the kind of persuasive outburst that has extruded him from the BBC.
So It was small talk all the way, and nobody talks small better than Jeremy Vine. He is very likeable in the way Bertie Wooster is likeable. He has a limited intellect but it is always busy with goodnatured ruminations. Ideas pop into his head; non sequiturs pop out of his mouth. (His reaction to Putin's invasion of Ukraine was:could this be a move to get Trump elected?)
It is to his credit that he has Jones on his show, which is usually an argy bargy between a centrist harridan and an apopleptic gammon, tho I have never heard him allow Jones finish a sentence. A trolling listener got thru demanding to know why he had allowed a notorious anti-semite on his show
