Looks like fair criticism from TG, and pretty eye-opening about Miller. The only part I thought over-egged was the criticism of Miller's use of the phrase 'Jewish supremacism': 'Miller talks about ‘the global struggle against Jewish supremacism’. In this phrase Miller conflates all Jewish people with the Israeli state like the Zionists. That Israel is a Jewish Supremacist state is a fact which Israel’s human rights group Bt’selem testifies to. Again it is difficult not to take this as a call to oppose Jews everywhere and to brand them all as Jewish Supremacists.' I don't think Miller is conflating all Jewish ppl with Israel and 'supremacism' with this phrase. Seems like he's trying to score rhetorical points by using a phrase similar to 'white supremacism', and the criticism is of the supremacists, ie: Zionist supporters of Israel, not all Jews. However I'd agree it's clumsy and, along with the other statements quoted by Greenstein, is a gift to opponents seeking to throw the a/s libel. I don't know wtf Miller was thinking going on a neo-nazi podcast / rumble show either. Tried to track down some clips, as the interview is for subscribers only: https://rumble.com/v5r2whh-based-uk-professor-exposes-covert-zionist-front-groups.html?e9s=src_v1_ucp but all I could ascertain is that he criticised Tommy Robinson for being pro-IDF, and this tweet saying he let the guy insinuate the nazi holocaust wasn't real without challenge: 'David Miller is spiralling further into the far-right. This week he appeared on a podcast of white nationalist Stew Peters and sat and nodded while the bloke called Gaza "a real Holocaust" (emphasis on real) and mentioned the 109 countries dogwhistle.' - https://xcancel.com/Oberubu/status/1850848891148677486#m (Don't know what the dogwhistle refers to) Miller's nitter only has a few mentions of Greenstein, maybe indicating no love lost. Here's one tweet where he responded to the criticism of citing a far right 'academic' paper and the idea that Jews are all hyper-intelligent: ***** https://xcancel.com/Tracking_Power/status/1838589377053626612#m Tony Greenstein affects to believe that I am a secret advocate of race science on the basis of a post (below) in which I cite advocates of superior Jewish “intelligence” as one view attempting to explain the existence of Jewish privilege. Readers can see for themselves, but I was in no way endorsing the material in the screenshots I shared. The screenshots of the two papers are both in a long line of literature which claims to explain social outcomes in terms of IQ or “intelligence”. But do these theories work to explain Jewish privilege? Richard Lynn is a co-author of both. He is a long time advocate of racial science as are a number of Zionist advocates of these kind of arguments. These include Steven Pinker, the geneticist, Nicholas Wade, Charles Murray (of the Bell Curve), Jordan Peterson and the journalist Andrew Sullivan. But are they right? Short answer: No. Here is the way in which Gavin Evans, who is, like me, an opponent of race science, sets out the arguments from back in 2018. Evans goes on, in this long read in the Guardian, to neatly skewer the arguments from race science as follows: In other words the alleged intelligence of the Jews is neither true nor, therefore, an explanatory factor in the fact of relative Jewish privilege. So, can we please desist from making daft, nay embarrassing, claims like this? Tony's posts are here. xcancel.com/TonyGreenstein/status/… xcancel.com/TonyGreenstein/status/… xcancel.com/TonyGreenstein/status/… There will perhaps be more to say about this shortly.
