Thanks, hadn't looked much at this before. Classic example of the unintended consequences of technological 'progress', especially when tied to corporate power and the profit imperative. While the docu stresses the importance of intercepting the pfas at the manufacturing source and doesn't put it all down to consumer responsibility, it still takes for granted the supposed necessity of things like semiconductors, space suits and other supposedly essential applications, with the 'pregnant people' woman at the end telling viewers to have faith in further technological breakthroughs which will solve the problem - without creating any new ones this time, honest guv!

I guess I'm going to have to go back to waxed cotton... er, I mean UK-grown organic linen (cotton imported, using exploited labour, drenched in agricultural poisons):





Look to the past and there were always solutions to these problems that corporate capitalism and specialist lab researchers have been scratching their heads over, looking for a new way to turn industrial wastes into something vaguely useful, profitable, and - fingers crossed - not so toxic that people immediately start dropping like flies.
