If he'd said "is supposed to be absolute" that would be ok but really, the old "freedom of speech" thing looks utterly defunct.
I recently read "More than Night" a book on Film Noir (recommended for film heads) and it had a really interesting chapter on the censorship of film and it's relation to Noir and the various boards, witch hunts, blacklists, etc. Everyone remembers the "one foot on the floor" if you're on a bed thing and the prudish censorship of sex, etc. but the actual list of things that were forbidden goes way, way beyond that and makes a mockery of the repeated "freedom of speech" mantra and this was back just after the start of talkies. I can upload a copy if anyone wants it.
Then when you look at the ridiculous shit that's been happening to support the genocidal entity and there is almost no case for there being freedom of speech.
Did you see that ALL Beverly Hills PUBLIC schools will have to fly the flag of the apartheid state during May due to a council decision? It's seen been overturned apparently:

but the actions at the encampments and through all of higher education, the loyalty pledges in order to get emergency aid, the disavowing of BDS pledges, the cancelling. Free speech? My arse, Scott.
The corporate media are complicit in the Gaza genocide.
Never forget what they did. Never forgive them for it.![]()
