Interviewed on Sky News, Lord Walney said the "day-to-day coverage" of the Gaza situation by the UK media is responsible for the attack on the synagogue in Manchester. The inference was clear: by their incessant reporting of the deaths and atrocities in Gaza the media was responsible for the rise in anti-semitism in the UK. The logic of this is if the media stopped reporting it, there would be no anti-semitism. Maybe he has a point.
