The first time Israel abducted Greta Thunberg, it abandoned its principles by giving her and her crew mates the gentle treatment because it thought it would be better PR - and most importantly, the footage gave Piers Morgan the opportunity to mock Greta and her characterisation of the IDF. The point was to show that Israel is nice, but most Israelis don’t want to been seen as nice: they want to be feared.

The soft treatment of Greta caused outrage in Israel because “this is not what we stand for”. The World’s Most Moral Army™ label is supposed to be a warning, not a recommendation. It means we are so moral that nothing we can do is ever wrong, not even things like rape, torture and murder. And let’s be honest, Israelis love to rape, torture and murder.

Now if you have a conscience, you probably think rape, torture and murder sound so depraved, even western journalists couldn’t defend this shit, but you would be wrong. So very wrong. There is nothing we wouldn’t let vanish in a haze of ambiguity when it comes to Israel.

However, it seems we might have miscalculated this one. Our instinct is to play down or ignore whatever Israel does, but this time, Israel wants the truth to be a deterrent. Next time a flotilla approaches Palestinian waters, Israel is going to bomb the shit out of it like a refugee camp in Gaza.

Understandably, Israelis are delighted that Greta has finally conducted an interview with Swedish newspaper Aftonblatet. She has confirmed that Israel did many of the bad things to her that we pretend it doesn’t do to Palestinians. The time for ambiguity is over.

Greta explained that IDF soldiers dragged her to the ground, threw the Israeli flag over her, and beat her. They brutally shoved Greta into a corner which they referred to as “a special place for a special lady” and they called her “Little whore” and “Whore Greta” in Swedish.

The fact IDF soldiers took the time to learn Swedish shows how considerate they are to their guests. They placed a flag next to Greta and every time the flag fluttered and touched her, they would kick her in the side and say “don’t touch the flag”.

What else would you do when confronted by a terrifying terrorist leader who is under five-foot-tall? You would tightly bind her wrists with cable ties and take selfies with her, that’s what! Oh, and you would beat her crew mates in front of her, and kick her every time she looked up.

Now if you’re a Zionist like me, you’re probably thinking, “that’s not enough, I want more torture!”, so you will be reassured to hear The World’s Most Rapey Army™ dragged Greta into another building, stripped her, and took selfies with her, and then they took her outside, stripped her again, and filmed her.

I bet Piers Morgan would love that footage so he could mock Greta on his show again, wouldn’t he? Serves her right for trying to stop a fucking genocide. Personally, I think we should do this sort of thing to everyone who whines about genocide.

Greta and her crew mates were kept in 40 degree heat and denied food and water, despite begging and screaming for it. Heart-warmingly, the guards would hold up water bottles and throw them in the trash. Some of the hostages fainted and when the doctors came, they simply said, “We’re going to gas you”.

Remember, that sort of thing is only bad when Nazis do it. Israel has the right to gas whoever it wants.

Just know that if you are kidnapped from another country by Israel and held hostage and tortured, your government will support you as much as the Swedish government supported Greta.

Swedish representatives would not even bring Greta and the others water during multiple visits. They simply described the torture as “harsh treatment” without bothering to report on the details, leaving us with the impression Greta was just whining.

Any government that ignores when Israel kidnaps and tortures its own people is quite capable of ignoring when Israel commits genocide. When we lecture the global south about “western values”, this is what we mean. Just know The World’s Most Moral Army™ is allowed to torture and humiliate whoever it likes - and that includes you. I bet you feel all fuzzy inside now, don’t you?
