Keir Starmer has finally come out fighting, but not in the interests of ordinary British people. Instead he's intent on sticking up for violent, racist, Israeli football thugs!

Keir Starmer and the Labour leadership are running out of time to win over the British public that they’ve alienated with dreadful policies like mugging pensioners; economically sanctioning disabled people; draconian curtailment of our historic right to participate in non-violent protest; continuation of Tory austerity ruination; and their weird obsession with reanimating the Blair era zombie of mandatory ID cards.

Even the tiny and still dwindling band of Starmer loyalists must be able to see that the polling numbers are so diabolical that he desperately needs to come out fighting for the interests of ordinary British people before he hands control of the country over to Nigel Farage through his own ineptitude.

Yet somehow Starmer has focused his energy on damning West Midlands Police for their decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from attending the Europa League match with Aston Villa.

The decision to ban fans of the Israeli club was based on an intelligence report that considered the days of violent chaos that Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters incited in Amsterdam last season.

When the ban was announced Keir Starmer decided to go to war with the police, calling the ban “wrong” and insisting that he would do “everything in his power” to overturn the decision.

One wonders why Starmer can only find this kind of fiery determination when it comes to attacking British police and defending the interests of overseas football hooligans, and not when it comes to standing up for the interests of long-suffering British people.

Maccabi Tel Aviv fans quickly made Starmer look even more of a fool by rioting and getting their Tel Aviv derby game abandoned just days after he leapt to their defence.

They were a bunch of violent racist thugs in Amsterdam; they’re so violent that they got their own derby game cancelled in Israel at the weekend; yet Keir Starmer seems determined to let them run amok in Birmingham too.

Either Starmer didn’t even bother looking into the intelligence report behind the ban before mouthing off about it, or he actively wants a bunch of Israeli thugs to instigate a massive riot in England’s second city for some reason.

What makes Starmer’s weird pro-hooligan stance even more concerning is the fact that Birmingham is one of Britain’s most multicultural cities, with a significant Muslim population of around 30%.

Two of the key factors in the decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from attending the game were their track record of chanting racist anti-Arab and anti-Muslim slogans, and the numerous violent attacks they carried out against random Muslim people in Amsterdam.

Anyone with any sense of proportion knows that if Russian teams are banned from international tournaments over Vlad Putin’s invasion of eastern Ukraine, then Israeli clubs should also have been banned over the Gaza genocide, yet somehow they’re not just still allowed to compete, they’ve got the British Prime Minister going to war with West Midlands Police because he seems to want their violent, racist, thuggish fans terrorising the people of Birmingham!

It’s not just that Starmer is shit-talking one of Britain’s own police forces and wilfully eroding the separation of powers between parliament and the justice system; nor is it that he’s intent on putting Birmingham’s Muslim population at risk in order to appease a bunch of Israeli thugs; it’s that he never shows this kind of fight when it comes to standing up for the British people. The people he was actually elected as Prime Minister to serve.
