The same Secretary-General who has shown himself to be unable to call a genocide
a genocide also appears unable to call the crime of aggression
aggression. Calling on perpetrators to respect international law AFTER the
violations have already occurred, while avoiding calls for the perpetrators to
be held accountable is not an act of principle. It's an act of
cowardice. Deference to the criminal abuse of power is not diplomacy. It's
abdication.
