Thanks for the pointers, hadn't heard of them but was dimly aware of the history of CIA sponsorship of the kind of intellectuals & artists that posed no threat to US imperialism, eg: Jackson Pollock, expressionism, atonal music. Did Warhol take a bung, or am I just assuming that because I've always intensely disliked him? Morbid Symptoms & Tara's guests often end up pushing critiques of Trotskyism, and how lots of the bad faith actors undermining genuine revolutionary socialism seem to have come from those groups. Could be their own bias of course...
