After the war the feckers accepted they had made a mistake, went off and wrote treatises about it. But there was nobody left to hold them accountable. People are still arguing about it even today.

A good book on the subject by Vernon Richards is The Lessons of the Spanish Revolution. He doesn't mince his words.
