⭕️ Balint presses AG Pam Bondi on Lutnick's Epstein ties, clash erupts after
Bondi's antisemitism deflection

Rep. Becca Balint (D-VT) confronted Attorney General Pam Bondi in a very heated
House Judiciary Committee exchange, pressing her on whether DOJ had questioned
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Lutnick has
now acknowledged visiting Epstein's island in 2012 after previously claiming he
decided to "never be in the room" with Epstein again after a disturbing 2005
tour of Epstein's Manhattan home.

As Bondi said Lutnick had already addressed the matter and sought to pivot,
Balint pushed back: "These are senior officials in the Trump
administration. This is not a game."

Bondi later countered by asking whether Balint had raised similar questions
about Bill Clinton or Merrick Garland, Balint called Bondi's conduct and
deflections "pathetic."

Bondi then accused Balint of fueling an "antisemitic culture" and cited Balint's
vote against a resolution condemning "from the river to the sea." Balint
erupted: "Do you want to go there, are you serious? Talking about antisemitism
to a woman who lost her grandfather in the Holocaust, really?" She then stormed
out of the chamber.
