Really excellent analysis by Russ, especially when he contrasts Rubio's imperialist horsesh!t about 'western civilisation' to the experience of Vietnamese people under French colonisation and US bombing (warning: disturbing pics of beheaded & tortured people around 9:00):





Particularly telling are the museum stories of Vietnamese nurses digging through rubble barehanded and rescuing patients and medicines from a burning hospital after a US bombing raid, which Russ compares to Gaza:

(14:10) 'Where where we hear stories like this where we hear stories like this, doesn't this kind of sound like what Israel is doing in Gaza? So we tend to think that our alliance with Israel is somehow uh aberration. We are Israel. We are Israel. What Israel is doing to Gaza, we've done that sh!t to people all over the world. All through this region, man. You know, you know what they sell in Laos? They sell jewelry that's made from the recovered shells that still kill thousands of people every year. We support Israel because we are Israel. We're just like Israel. The things that they are doing to the Palestinians don't bother us because we do the same things. We have done those things to people all over the world and on a much larger scale.'

And of course that's why the audience of PMC sociopaths all cheered Rubio and even gave him a standing ovation - as Russ points out:

(21:40) 'It shouldn't surprise anybody that they liked that speech. "Oh, we don't we don't have to feel guilty any more about what we did to these people all around the world in Africa and Asia? That's great. We like that idea. And really, you're going to bring us along with you? Really? Really? You're not going to leave us behind? We thought you were going to leave us behind. You were going to leave us in the car. Go to Disneyland on your own. We're going to get to go too? Oh, we're going to get to go to Recolonisation World with you? Where do we sign? Where do we sign for that?'

Perfect, quite moving response to the speech and what it reveals. Reminds me of why I like these guys.
