seriously wounded in an attack on Friday near the Lebanese border that injured
eight Israeli soldiers. He said shrapnel entered his son's back and abdomen,
tearing through his liver before lodging near a major blood vessel. Smotrich
added that doctors said the outcome could have been far worse if the vessel had
been damaged.
