I’ve not heard anyone claim it was a laser weapon (like Russian Peresvet) wot took down the F35, but if it was a missile it would probably have done more than just damage it, most likely.

If Iran has laser anti-aircraft prototypes, developed or received in absolute secrecy, it may explain why the F35 didn’t defeat it, and it would mean Iran can absolutely win this thing. And why they seem confident that they can, as in “we are waiting for you”
