If the point is the hypocrisy & double standards of the press and politicians in screaming a/s about the left while ignoring comparable examples from the right, then fine, I agree. But to start talking about how big the cartoonist made Polanski's nose, or to invoke Svengali when the more obvious interpretation is a satire of his former career as a hypnotist, or compare it to der Sturmer nazi depictions, is doing what the zionists did to Corbyn & the pro-Palestine left. IMO it does nothing other than lend more legitimacy to the supposedly 'hurt feelings' of the 'Jewish community' (as long as they're not the 'wrong kind of Jew', ie: anti-zionists who can be offended & abused at will) and further endorse their alleged victimhood to be used as a political bargaining chip. The cartoons are stupid and reactionary, but exaggerated facial features are a political cartoonist's stock in trade, and I disagree that there was a/s intent, even unconscious, behind them. Besides, do we really want to go down this same route of hyper-sensitivity, joylessness and censorship as our enemies did? No thanks. cheers, I
