Bruce Springsteen's serious demeanour as he sang those lines might have been more persuasive if he had not tolerated, as a member of his band for the last four decades, the fanatical, brutally ignorant Christian Zionist Steve Van Zandt. That dismal fact, as well as his support for Obama, Clinton, and Harris, means that anything he says, and sings, rings hollow.





Straight after that dismal dose of geriatric hypocrisy, it's The Daily Show, with host Ronny Chieng joking that America is now supporting pedophiles. He bawls out: "Jeffrey, you killed yourself too soon!" This elicits a gale of laughter from the studio audience.
Chieng then moves on to some mirthless jokes about Raul Castro....
