Tory MP who is member of the security committee which was allowed access to (some) of the redacted Mandelson messages pointed out how the Cabinet Office was deliberately obstructinve in releasing documents and had to be dragged into complying with the HoC ruling. He also questioned why some redactions were due to the Met's ongoing investigation and he demanded to know WHEN the Met decided to investigate and on what grounds. It was evident from his manner that he was highly suspicious of the Met's rationale in starting the investigation at this precise moment and whether there might have been Cabinet Office or broader government pressure to limit the release of certain material.
