Unfortunately they got the photos they wanted. The flag drew the attention as they'd hoped.

I was at a Nakba day protest once near the Home Office and some guy wrapped in a huge Israeli flag crossed the road from the tiny counter demonstration and walked into the midst of our crowd of thousands of protestors. The police rushed to protect him from us rampant anti-semites and created a cordon around him. The media got their photos - one lone Jewish man needing to be protected from the baying hordes of Pro-Palestinian supporters. Sheet, the protestors had paid him no heed. They'd just ignored him. That's the way experienced activists treat situations like that.
