A realistic phrasing would be "Nobody believed the latest lies from the apartheid state, trying to claim people with hand grenades and a few RPGs completely destroyed 100s of cars on October 7th".

Also note, the oddly detailed phrasing of the "other claim the IDF did it" with specific numbers of missions flown and attacks made.
