Could it be that Softbank isn't soft in the head but gambling on success and trying to make sure that it is on the right (i.e. wrong) side of another development in finance capitalism? That if it doesn't gamble like this, it is doomed as capital consolidates into ever fewer, ever larger concentrations of capital?
