There is the term “suicide by cop” that is used for individuals who take actions that make it impossible for the police not to shoot them, such as waving a gun at the police. What is happening in Ukraine is becoming a “genocide by Russia”, but not a fate chosen by the Ukrainian people who voted Zelensky into power when he promised a peaceful settlement to the Ukrainian Civil War. Instead, they got war with Russia; with the Western powers and their Ukrainian vassal leadership destroying every attempt at peace and seemingly happy to fight Russia “to the last Ukrainian”.

In later years, European leaders such as the ex-German Chancellor Merkel have admitted that both agreements were negotiated in bad faith simply to rescue the Ukrainian government forces from a wider defeat. The Minsk agreements would have put in place a Canada-like constitutional structure, with the Donbass oblasts enjoying the same kind of rights that Quebec has and the Russian language being officially protected. That the West would not even agree to such terms, that could have brought a lasting peace, shows its determination to use Ukraine as a battering ram proxy against Russia.

After years of the Western rebuilding of the Ukrainian military it was massed on the borders of the Donbass, while the Ukrainian shelling of the Donbass greatly intensified. With thousands of Donbass civilians killed by shelling and mining intentionally aimed at civilian targets over the years since Debaltseve. After the Donbass militias and small Russian forces routed the Ukrainian forces in February 2022, the West rapidly moved to negotiate to save their proxy army.

Istanbul: Used to get Russian forces to retreat as “goodwill” from around Kiev, after which Ukraine immediately walked out of the negotiations. Even after such a stunning victory, Russia was ready to accept a “Canadian” constitutional solution plus Ukrainian neutrality and a limit on Ukrainian military forces. Russia even accepted that Ukraine could join the EU, but not NATO

For the rest of 2022, the West rearmed and rebuilt the Ukrainian military enough to take back some of the areas taken by the Donbass militia and small Russian force. In 2023 this rebuilt military was smashed against the Russian southern defences, with horrific losses in men and equipment. Many more were lost in the failed defence of Bakhmut. The Ukrainian military was once again rebuilt with extensive Western aid, and launched the disastrous offensive toward the Russian city of Kursk in August 2024. The losses in men and equipment were again colossal, by April 2025 Ukraine’s reserves of heavy and medium armoured tracked vehicles (tanks, AFV, IFV, APC), much of its light armoured vehicle (e.g. HUMVE) fleet and swathes of its artillery, had been destroyed. With the reserves available from Europe emptied.

With an army reduced to an infantry with very limited numbers of light armoured vehicles, a rapidly shrinking artillery, and no air cover, Ukraine should have then sued for a peace which would have probably limited its territorial losses to Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk. Especially when Ukrainian military deaths are now up to a million, with at least that number injured; many so severely that they can no longer fight. With hundreds of thousands AWOL, at least a million fighting age men having fled abroad, and the press gangs finding it harder and harder to round up new cannon fodder. With a birth rate of around one (about 10,000 births per month) and a population increasingly becoming old and disabled.

But “there must be no surrender” scream the Western politicians, media and Ukrainian vassal leaders. The legions of foreign mercenaries and “retired” Western military men have already been utilized. Instead, enlist all the women that do not have children (which will send the birth rate to even new depths), reduce the fighting age to 18 (currently 25, with legions of 16 and 17 year olds having already fled abroad), and refuse asylum in Western nations to Ukrainian fighting age men, they say. From March 2027, Europe will no longer allow the entry of Ukrainian men between the ages of 23 and 60.

Ukraine launched a 40-day drone war against targets across Russia, including civilian ones, to supposedly “break” Russia. Instead, an enraged Russia reduced the high level of restraint that it has shown throughout the war and started pounding Ukrainian logistics, fuel and production facilities; creating an economic and social crisis that will only escalate during the winter. With Ukraine spending more money than the West can provide, it will print; creating a debilitating level of inflation. New swathes of Ukrainians will flee for asylum in the West, but will the West accept them? A sub-set of the millions of Ukrainian refugees have already made themselves very unwelcome through their arrogance and actions. Not helped by Zelensky’s continued celebrations of the WW2 butchers of the Polish in Volhynia. Will only women with children be allowed across the borders at some point?

What is the endgame here? Trains full of fighting age Ukrainian men sent eastwards to their deaths with “Krieg Macht Frei” written on the locked train carriages? With those men leaving behind wives and girlfriends to be “comforted” by Europeans? Only mothers and children allowed across the borders? Rich European men will have a cornucopia of choices for their harems and servant quarters, with Ukrainian genes being interbred with European ones.

The front is starting to collapse under Russian pressure and legions of new cannon fodder are required to slow down the Russian advances. Will any form of European enlistment be successful if fighting age Ukrainian men still reside in Europe? The European leaders do seem to be searching for a cause celebre to drag their own populations into the war. With Russia seeming to limit itself to setting fire to one European arms factory after another, the recent Leipzig airport attack has “all the hallmarks of a false flag” as Korybko notes.

While skeptics might roll their eyes, the Leipzig incident has all the hallmarks of a false flag. For starters, Germany is implying cartoonish incompetence on the part of Russia. The public is supposed to believe that the most skilled drone operators in the world, who were tasked with what would have been the most sensational Hybrid War attack on NATO ever, left a drone on the tarmac, got unlucky when another failed to explode after it hit a landing cargo plane, and left another nearby. That’s difficult to believe.

Observers should remember that Germany, which is now Ukraine’s second-most-important military patron behind the US, reached a deal in the spring to develop Ukraine’s deep-strike capabilities. Its economy is also getting on war footing as Germany rapidly remilitarizes in furtherance of its goal to command Europe’s largest army ahead of the EU’s prediction of a possible war with Russia around 2030. This has proven unpopular with voters, however, ergo the need to justify it through the Leipzig incident.

Much more than the somewhat pathetic Leipzig incident will be required though to trick Europe’s youth into throwing their lives away for the European oligarchy and their corrupt Ukraine project. Perhaps before that, the million Ukrainian men of fighting age will be forcibly enlisted within Europe before being forcibly transferred to the front? Giving military training and arms to such a large disaffected group may well cause a social disaster in Europe, providing highly effective recruits and leaders for criminal gangs. This is the incremental path that the European elites are travelling along. Anything is believable of a Europe that is actively supporting another nation carrying out an open genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Can a Le Pen victory in the French elections in the autumn of 2026 put a halt to this momentum? We should not hope for too much given the disappointment of Meloni and the oligarch power that would be aligned against Le Pen. With national elections in Germany and the UK years away. The only hope is perhaps a European economic and financial crash that forces it to rein in its aggression toward Europe. The highest probability though is of a “genocide by Russia” of the population of Ukraine, driven by the Western oligarchy. Anything to hold back and weaken Russia. Defeat to Russia is an unimaginable horror for the European oligarchy. With the only other hope that some senior members of the Ukrainian military sue for peace with the Russians; to save themselves and what would be left of the Ukrainian population.

The populations of Ukrainians settled in such nations as Canada and the US should think some more before they proclaim Slava Ukraini, because they are just being used as tools of the West. There will be no glory for Ukraine, more a vastly depopulated future; especially of its fighting age men. And now Zelensky attempts to escalate again, threatening to destroy any civilian aircraft flying over Russia. If any such thing takes place, the gloves may be very fully removed by the Russians. But at the same time, the Russians are not stupid enough to take the bait and attack Europe directly and obviously. Instead, we should expect a lot more fires and an increase in “unfortunate” deaths among the European courtier class. Together with, hopefully at last, the cutting off of critical Russian exports to Europe. Diesel exports have already stopped, they should be followed by LNG, fertilizer and uranium etc. All the while, the “genocide by Russia” will be continued.
