As far as I can see this is the first rupture with Israel by any British Goverment since Ms Thatcher denounced the illegal invasion of Lebanon in summmer 1982 -in the holy name of Internatial Law. "International law is all we have". That was very much framed by Argentines illegal invasrion of the Falklands, using arms supplied by Israel.
The first serious breach by a british opposition party was in 2014 when the whole Labour=AS hysteria was triggered by an opposition leader whipping reluctant back benchers to recognise Palestine. That leader was Ed Miliband. That caused Maureen Lipman to make her first threat to seek safety in Israel - and so the
Great Hysteria began
Oborne's mighty book Complicity nails the sale of F35 key components for bombing Gazas a key component of Complicity. He thinks this latest rupture is potentially a change of direction bringing Britain into line with international law and common decency. Bollox, argues Spartacus: If Miliband intended to suspend F-35 components he would already have done so. He has already had two months. Enough of this shilly shallying.
At least I assume that is the argument. But maybe there is no argument, merely a sectarian hissy-fit about a bit of Tory phraseology
