-the epitaph on the end-of-the-world gravestone.
The virtue signaling kudos has run it's course: Tried cooking but it's for menials: not for us professional middle classes.
I remember when I was a kid being fascinated by the Observer column written by one Sue Arnold.
That someone would actually pay this person to witter on in a prestigious newspaper every week and yet manage mysteriously to avoid saying anything of even minor import at all was an absolute mystery on the lines of "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
After wading through her articles every weekend and finding less than nothing at all I had come to the conclusion that she was in fact part of an existential mind experiment the Observer was subjecting its own readership to.
Every week I therefore anticipated a grand reveal where the Observer would inform us that no-one was this vacuous really: that they had actually made her up, and we were all fools to ever believe that they had been paying someone seriously good money for a virtual picnic with no sandwiches whatsoever, never mind merely being one short...but no. Apparently she eventually went off to "work" somewhere else and was considered a " witty" and "highly regarded" "Journalist"...
Dear reader...half a century later I am still in a state of shock!
So...they have history on this one. Rhiannon is just the "more of the same but bitchy" version I reckon.
-Its an updated model for the "new reality".
