I would be genuinely fearful of saying things like this in public, despite knowing them to be true, for the possible consequences. Maybe that makes me a coward, but it shows the extent to which the UK and other White Empire states have devolved into outright fascism in recent years. You can't say the Wrong thing on social media nowadays without expecting a knock on the door, a dawn raid, or getting detained at the border. 'Twas ever thus for serious opposition to the Empire, but it's starting to feel more & more like East Germany c.1985 (at least the popular understanding of it - we've probably been propagandised about that too...). Who's lining up to denounce you if you step an inch out of line? What have they got on your file, and how are they going to use it against you? How is your life going to be turned upside down to force you to comply? I don't think these are paranoid thoughts any more...
