Superprigs should try not to take things personally. Let us cherish our surface space. The Huffingdon Post journalist does an important job here. He illustrates the remarkable fact that in thirty years no serious dissenting attack on Manufacturing Consent has ever been published. Not one. Most “critiques” turn out to be either supportive refinements or improvements,or on the other side muttered one line insults about “conspiracy theory” etc. Yet any Professor of journalism could win reputation and preferment by producing a carefully reasoned hatchet job. It has proven easier to simply to ignore the thing. If there existed a powerful dissenting critique we would surely know about it. Wikipedia has an entry on MC which is not at all bad. If its many busy contributing editors knew of an effective counterblast they would surely have gotten it a mention https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manufacturing_Consent
