'Pledges' mean nothing, the aren't really worth the paper their not written on. Yet, I've personally found it incredibly hard going getting people to understand this, as they think both conferences 'worked' and great positive strides were made in the right direction! They idea that this was overwhelmingly an expesive propaganda exercise to disguise what's really going on, is something people find hard to accept and a horrifying thought.
