@dovetailjoint, I don't think its the sniff of an early election that has excited The Guardian, rather, for most of January Labour had opened up a decent 3% Poll lead against the Tories, which is enough of a swing if reflected in any real vote to get Corbyn into Number 10, given how the UK Establishment detest JC, nothing unusual about attacks on JC and Labour when the Party has opened up a Poll lead, indeed, this is now usually part of the course, namely accusation of Antisemitism and threats of break-away Centrist groupings, however, these canards have been played so often that they are now laughable.
