It's like our journalists have all, seeingly overnight, turned into a flock of sheep, with no one brave enough to raise their head above the others and ask any relevant, critical questions at all. Things were bad over Iraq, Libya and Syria, but now they seem to be actually getting worse, with dissent not just being attacked and ridiculed, but now it's completely ignored, so that it seems like we're living in liberal version of centralised totalitarian state. #### what's happening internally in Venezeula, what happened to our freedom? It's as if the quality and breadth of public debate is being squeezed and squeezed narrower and narrower before one's eyes.
