Tusk isn't exactly my cup of tea, either. Only this time he's correct. So much pain for so little gain. An angry, disolusioned and downtrodden electorate, made easy prey for a gang of charlatans.
Varoufakis has the easier job though. He doesn't have to make choices and can stand on the sidelines and just watch. He's also, if I remember correctly, no supporter of Brexit, but wants to see the European Union reformed. So he's on the side of the 'realists.' With Britain choosing to retreat to the sidelines of Europe as well, this only makes Germany stronger and their extremely conservative fiscal policies more entrenched.
