...disgusting article this morning and got sidetracked from posting it. Just an example of the mealy-mouthed bullshit: Cressida Dick, Brtiain’s most senior police officer, has admitted the events surrounding the death of Jean Charles de Menezes, killed by police after being mistaken for a terror suspect, continue to “stay” with her. "The events surrounding the death". Not the fact that YOU were responsible for the murder of an innocent man, but events...you know...stuff. “I came through having learnt a lot about how operations like that can be run. The Met learnt a lot and the testament to that is the hundreds and hundreds of firearms operations they had since.” You learned some lessons and we haven't murdered anyone for ages. Well that's all ####ing right then. The last two paragraphs are about her being gay which is, or should, be irrelevant. In fact, when you look at how short the article is and what it actually contains, it makes you wonder exactly what the purpose of it is. Also, as K.W. pointed out, she was held to account by having nothing happen to her but promotion. What a disgusting joke that piece is. |
