    At the risk of stating the bleedin' obvious, this has 'scam' written all over it. A back of an envelope calculation tells me that if someone had asked me to design it (with multiple revisions written in to the contract), I could design something (something miles better than what was proposed, even if I say so myself) for about £10k. Add in a very generous £50k for engineer's fees and we're there.

    This is a glaring example of public money being stolen by the usual suspects. Still, there's always HS2 (not to mention multiple ongoing PFI's) - fleecing the public and destroying the environment somewhere near you. This shit has got to stop.
