.."Traditionally in libel cases against media outlets, reporters have had to show they had a factual basis for their reporting, while opinion-writers could duck out under claims of “fair comment”, which allowed for muckraking and provocative viewpoints. ".. I wonder if this is part of the reason for a decline in Investigative Journalists to be replaced by opinion writers as the MSM seems to be full of them
